Bomaderry High School welcomes the participation of parents and wider school community in the life of the school.

The School Council

The School Council meets 5 times each year and holds additional meetings when required. It's role is to provide a forum for discussion and decision-making on issues such as:

The Council is represented on interview panels for selection of the school Principal and contributes to the formulation of the school's Annual Report.

Members of the School Council are the Principal (ex-officio), three parents, the P&C President, two staff members and two students from the SRC. The Council President is also a member of the school's Finance Committee which makes decisions on the school's educational budget.

The School Council strongly supports the requirement for students to wear the official school uniform and the ban on student mobile phones.

The P&C
The P&C meets at the school on the first Thursday of each month during the school Terms. It operates the school Canteen with profits raised allocated to educational, promotional, sporting and welfare initiatives.

At each P&C meeting funds are generously applied to a wide variety of submissions.

One of the P&C's major roles is to present a positive image of the school and public education to the wider community. All parents and community members are invited to attend meetings which act as a forum for Principal updates, discussion and decisions relating to issues presented to the P&C or raised at meetings as well as the allocation of funds.

Student Internet Access

All students will be provided with DET-filtered internet and email accounts unless parents/carers write to the school stating thay do not grant permission for their child to have this access at school. More details can be found in the Parent Notification letter link.
