Bomaderry
High is a modern well-resourced country comprehensive high school on the south coast of NSW near Nowra serving the
educational needs of students living in the Bomaderry, Berry, Shoalhaven Heads,
Cambewarra and Kangaroo Valley areas. (see map)
The school's philosophy - "A quality experience" - is reflected in the
outstanding achievements of students in a range of activities. They are
challenged to to strive for success
and achieve their personal best by an experienced and dedicated teaching staff.
The school's mission is to provide a quality educational experience for all students, foster their self-esteem and assist them to become tolerant and responsible individuals with a respect for the rights of others.
Bomaderry's
academic results in external examinations such as the Higher School Certificate
and School Certificate place the school amongst the top schools on the south
coast. The school is renowned for its success in state and national competitions
with students ranked as winners or finalists in academic, sporting and cultural
activities.

Academic Success
- 2008 - National Champion, NSW State & Regional Champions -Tournament of the Minds (Engineering/Maths). The Social Science team won the Regional Spirit of Tournament Award. Our Language/Literature team won the Regional Tournament Honours Award.
- 2007 - Top UAI - 97.35 - 111 Band 5 or 6 results in a range of subjects.
- 2006 - Top UAI 99.65 - 11 students in top 10% of the state. 2 students in Premier's High Achievers list. 49 Highest Band 6 results overall.
- 2005 - Top HSC UAIs - 97.8 and 97.3. 34 Highest Band 6 results in a range of subjects.
- 2005 - Regional Tournament of the Minds - 2nd place in Language/Literature and Maths/Engineering.
- 2004 - Top UAI 97.8. 44 Top Band 6 results. Top 3 schools on the south coast.
2003 and 2002 - Top HSC result (UAI 99.55) - Premier's Award Winners. Bronwen S, who achieved a UAI of 99.55 is studying a Bachelor of Advanced Science degree, Sam H (UAI 98) is studying Engineering, while Troy K (97.25) is doing a Bachelor of Advanced Biotechnology.
- 1999 - Top two HSC students on the South Coast (UAI of 99.75 and 99.70).
- 2001 - National Champions Tournament of the Minds (Engineering/Maths).
- 2000 - NSW Champions Tournament of the Minds (Engineering/Maths).
- 1998 - Top Agriculture student (Year 10) in NSW.
- ex-students achieve distinguished academic careers:
-Ph.D Cambridge University; Australian National University Medal to L. Woinarski (HSC 1998) for academic excellence and commitment to aid projects in Indonesia.
-Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University - J Robinson (HSC 1998) has won a Rhodes Scholarship to study at Oxford for a Bachelor of Civil Law/M.Phil in 2006 after completing the Degrees of Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Asian Studies with First Class Honours in Law at The Australian National University. Jennifer also won the University Medal for Law at ANU 2006, completed her College of Law course and was admitted to the bar. She is currently at Balliol College at Oxford University. - Matt Hart (HSC1993) recieved the Dean's Award for Academic Excellence at the University of Sydney. Matt is currently doing his Masters degree in Media and Communications

- 2009 CHS State Lawn Bowls Champions - Daniel H named player of the series!
- 2008 Davidson Shield Cricket South Coast Champions
- 2008 Premiers Sporting Challenge Diamond Award - 7th in the state
- 2008 Girls netball zone champions, U14 AFL zone champions
- 2007 Champion School at the Equestrian Federation Australia Inter-School Equestrian Competition at Worigee
- 2007 - Silver Medal Under 16 Girls Volleyball team NSW State Schools Championships
- 2005 - Open Rugby League 4th in State, AFL 5th in State, 800m first place in CHS Athletics, 4th in shotput, Girls Volleyball Regional Finalists, Girls CHS X-Country 3rd in NSW, Inter-School Archery Champions.
- 2002 - Boys NSW State Hockey champions and 2003 Runners-Up.
- 2002 - Lawn Bowls - 2nd in NSW Championships.
- 2001 - Lawn Bowls - 2nd in NSW Championships.
- 1995 - Girls' Basketball team 3rd place in national championships.
- 1997 - Girls' Soccer team State Final and runners-up.
Cultural Success
- 2008 Rock Eisteddfod entry 'Rasulka' 2nd place in the NSW Open Division
2007 - great performance at Wollongong Entertainment Centre - 'Tears of the Sun' 2005 - Rock Eisteddod NSW Premier Division Finalist -'Thank God for the Salvos'. (did not enter 2006). 2003 - Rock Eisteddfod NSW Premier Division 1st Place- 'Waltzing Matilda' (did not enter 2004).- 2001 - National and NSW State Rock Eisteddfod Premier Division 3rd Place. (did not enter 2002).
- 2000 - National Winner and NSW State Rock Eisteddfod Premier Division Champion.
- 2000 - Junior Debating team 3rd in NSW.
- 1998 - NSW Rock Eisteddfod - 2nd for Stage Performance; 1st for TV Performance.
- 1996 - NSW Debating Champions Hume Barbour Competition.
